    Default Remove US2 cable?

FYI, I suspect there are more like me with the US2 on their TM and it will not work with their depth finder. So you have a worthless cable flopping in the breeze. So I contacted MK about removing it and affect on the warranty. They replied yes you can remove it and you will not void your warranty. Very easy to do too. Simply remove the control box cover screws and disconnect the threaded transducer cable fitting.

I suppose it has no effect on the function of the motor. I just removed mine. Did it effect anything ? I have not used mine yet

I disconnected mine when I installed an HB 998 on the bow with the HDSI transducer strapped to the bottom of it. Saw absolutely no reason to remove the cable. just tie wrapped it off below the bow panel. No power, no transducer, no problem.

That loose cable is nothing but a big rf generator if it is dangling or unterminated.

I took the cover off the trolling motor and unhooked and removed it so I did not have to coil it up and hang off the power cord. Will this have any negative effects

How can it generate RF noise if it's not connected to anything? Dead cable cannot generate anything.
