FYI, I suspect there are more like me with the US2 on their TM and it will not work with their depth finder. So you have a worthless cable flopping in the breeze. So I contacted MK about removing it and affect on the warranty. They replied yes you can remove it and you will not void your warranty. Very easy to do too. Simply remove the control box cover screws and disconnect the threaded transducer cable fitting.
