    Default cleaning screen on fishfinder

What is the best thing to use on my humminbird 1197 and 597 screens? I thought about trying the stuff they sell at walmart for eyeglasses.

From the FAQ’s on the Humminbird web site:

What products can be used to clean my display?
Humminbird recommends using Windex® Vinegar Multi Surface (in the spray bottle). Do NOT use any wipes products (which can also be available as the brand name Windex Multi-Task). The lens contains a special coating which improves visibility. It is recommend to use the above cleaner because we have tested and proved this cleaner. It does not deteriorate the coatings on the lens.

Use white vinegar Diluted with water if not bad. If you have hard to remove water spots soak a paper towel in straight vinegar then lay over screen and let soak. Don't use towel to wipe. Remove towel and rinse with damp microfiber cloth.

I use some stuff called Krystal Vision. Made to clean gun scopes and binoculars. This stuff is the bomb.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

When using wipes make sure they are the Alcohol free ones. The alcohol eats into the plastic screen causing scratches, yes there are many alcohol free wipes on market made for electronics. I got mine at Wally world. Many binocular wipes contain alcohol as binoculars have glass lens..................and yes Windex with vinegar is a alcohol free cleaner.

Alcohol and water 50/50 mix. Use a very soft cloth like a microfiber, and dont rub hard just swipe the surface. Always us a clean micro never one used to dry hands after landing a fish or anything like that.
