Seems like a few people with Terrovas are having interference issues...

We still haven't found a solution for lcookie's problem here...

Long story short “I DID NOT”. Short story to make it bearable. First and foremost check the fuse in the trolling motor head unit and make sure it is working. If you don’t have a tester you can leave the motor running on a low constant speed with the depth finder on and remove the fuse. The screen should go hay wire. Put the fuse back in and the screen should clear up some. If you get no change try a new fuse also. Next, turn the sensitivity all the way down, turn the noise filter down, and run the trolling motor on the low constant speed. If you get bad interference here you can stop because I can’t help you. If it is clear, begin to turn the sensitivity up until you start to see the interference. Mark that setting. Then turn up more until you can’t take it. Mark that setting. Repeat this test while changing the noise filter to each setting. After your done see which setting gives you the widest range. These will be your acceptable range for your particular set up. Learn how to work within those and you will get enjoyment out of your unit. Most of the time you don’t have to have the unit turned up to get a good quality picture. I have tries every hint on the internet to rid myself of it but nothing has worked. I have however gotten it to an acceptable level. My next task is to get my deep water settings to an acceptable level.

Wow look like I need to box it back up and take it back. Only had it about 4 days now. My queston is now if I get the 12 volt powerdrive ipiolot unit.Would this possible fix my problem. Or am I in same boat. I had no problem with my HB DI unit or my 12 volt cable motor, I guess sometime you just keep what you got and work with it. I don't have a unit hooked to the us2 yet. It's affecting my dash unit. I'm sick but don't want to be stuck with 700 finder don't work and 1300 TM then drive myself crazy all winter wonder about it and to cold to go and work on it.

It is not the voltage it is the maximizer pulses. If you don't troll ipilot may not be as good as cable anyways. IJS

I'm not a big troller just mostly stump to stump. Or sit over structure.I had 44 # cable and wanted more thrust.....so I said since I'm upgrading why not get I piolot. Look like I'm going to try this cable humminbird sending me,hopefully it help. If not I'm putting my cable back on. MK said It could be wires loose in the head....it right out the box I hope that's not the case....witch I don't think it is...HB said it must be TM but we can send you a cable to hopefully stop it. Truth be told Im just glad my wife is out of town this week because I've been dealing with this as number one priority LOL she would probley be on hold until my boat is good to go.lol

Hunterjt, this is the noise I got on my 898..I have a Terrova 12 volt TM...I ended up by running my xducer wire & a ground wire in the Terrova channel..I connected the ground wire to the negative post of my TM battery..Now I only get noise on 800khtz..HB is sending me a TMC-1 choke to see if that helps..I never did have noise on 2D..I will let you know if the choke clears it up on 800.
