Default New Terrova 1, Transducer Cable 0

Well my first trip out with the new Terrova/i Pilot ended badly for my transducer. I mounted it with plenty of slack and I made sure it wasn't caught anywhere and no pinch-points, but I put spot-lock on while re-tying
and when I looked back up the terrova had gone past 360° and ripped the cable in two....

Thought I got a good deal on the TM, but when I start adding in the cost of transducers it's going to be awfully expensive. One trip, one transducer? That sucks!banghead

Yeah....when I first started using it, and payed attention, it seemed like it would go around and if it was going to go past 360, it went back the other way. Of course while I was retying I wasn't paying attention!

Rigged for V2, not Terrova. Works good and keeps HDS cable taught (kinda). Loop slack allows up to two full turns. Hopefully I am paying attention by then.

Cable runs thru a ring on the release handle to help keep it from flopping around.

Thanks guys! If/when I can get another transducer I'll make sure I have an extra foot or two of slack! And no more sitting to retie with my back to
    the TM!!banghead
