    that sounds like good ideal ,could be to close to other electrical power source.way to go jason

    Good Stuff,Yes there is a new updated version of the original 4.0 software.From what Lowrance is telling me is that some unit's had problem's with the original 4.0 but some did not.The one I have downloaded now is 4.0.36.59

    I will check....but why would it have worked so good before the new software download? I didn't move my battery cables or transducer wires

    On your unit, you can go to the system tab, highlight about,then enter, should display your firmware revision number.

    My unit says I have software # 4.0.36.56. So I assume I have the old software...right?
