I have a V2 riptide and like it fine. I didn't see the Terrova come in 70lb thrust, and the steering does OK for me. Had it a couple of months now, has auto pilot and upgradeable, pulls my 17'8" bass boat at 2.5mph on the gps.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
I have the pd2 with i pilot. it is only a 50 lbs thrust. I like it how ever when I bass fish i need both hands and it the pits to stop working the pole to turn with the remote. You can do it but in higher winds it is a chore. My question is this how much better would 80 vs 50 be? would my onboard charger need changed also going to 24v from 12v.
I have the terrova. For crappie using one pole dipping, the remote is great. If I hold 2 poles verticle fishing, then the foot control is wonderful if I use the buttons and not the rocker pedal. The rocker is useless. All it will do is pee you off. Like others have said, sometimes I put my rods in the rod holders and sit back relax and let my fingers do the work. You will love the spotlock.
It ain't nuttin but luck.
