898c SI needs help before i throw it in the lake!

the picture of the bird is terrific---

UPDATE: pulled boat out of water early this morning--took it to boat shop to have bracket welded onto bottom of pontoon to mount the structure scan transducer.
be back home this evening and then mount the s s transcucer and put back in water.

p s left canvass top up , just a short trip down the road----wind gust broke tie down straps, broke bracket mounts and bent the aluminum---just another day of life !

UPDATE: boat back home--structure scan transducer mounted---mount the lss-1 tomorrow---then back i n the water tomorrow afternoon----------looking for crappie

I think most boat electronic manufacturers are over whelmed on Mondays. I guess folks get on the water on the weekend and find out they have problems.

UPDATE: STRUCTURE SCAN mounted---no power and im in the water now! call customer service from the middle of the lake---check everything--when you get home have hubby check power with his whatevers---------hubby checked power all power ok---structure scan bad ---send one overnight PLEASE!
best we can do is get it there monday---------OMG! what next? i can say that i called customer service 4 times today and each time i got through in just a few minutes---relief------------back to fishing with downscan-----had to reduce the sensitivity to show fish symbols----whats with that???

Crappiegirl. Is it fairly safe to assume that your husband connected the yellow wire on the LSS unit to the yellow wire on the HDS unit?

yes, yellow to yellow---there is power on the power cord that plugs into the structure scan---lowrance has determined it needs replaced---is it just me?

Wow. Do electronics have a way of failing when you are around...... Just kidding. Hope they get it running asap.
