Good question. I don't know if there's an actual answer yet, since it's not released. You can buy the cables now, but it seems like the software isn't ready for prime time.

My understanding is that it will share waypoints, routes. I can't speak on the rest. HB Greg will have to fill us in on that.

I remember reading somewhere that the first updates with ethernet capability will share transducers if the units are the same. i.e. a SI will share transducer information with another SI unit.
