Good question. I don't know if there's an actual answer yet, since it's not released. You can buy the cables now, but it seems like the software isn't ready for prime time.Quote:

I remember reading somewhere that the first updates with ethernet capability will share transducers if the units are the same. i.e. a SI will share transducer information with another SI unit.
That's about all I know as well at this point. they are still working on software to turn Ethernet on in the Humminbird units. Until it is released I won't know for sure.
