Here is how to use scotchlock but splices for small wires. The scotchlock is jel filled and the jel oozes out when crimped, thus providing resistance to water and dirt entry into the connection.
Align the wires to be crimped by visual placement.
Push the wires to the top of the scotchlock. Don't let them slip.
Crimp with gas pliers til gel oozes out. You will fill the "snap" when the crimp collapses. Don't use too much pressure when crimping.
