Sounds like you might have the transducer too close to the prop?

Replaced the transducer on my unit a couple weeks ago, and everything was working fine. Now graph reads fine if I do not hit the pedal. I can the turn the TM in either direction, and graph works. Once the pedal is hit, and TM is in motion, I get a fuzzy distorted screen (depth and temp still works) I let off and screen goes back to working properly. I have had this unit and TM on my boat for the last 2 years and have had no problems. I have not changed anything other than the transducer. Anybody ever had this issue before?

I had that problem when my troller and locater were hooked to the same battery. If the voltage dropped below a certain level that would happen to my screen. Try hooking your locater to a seperate battery and see if that helps. It worked for me.
I will try that. I don't see why it would make a difference now??? I have ran both of them of the same battery for years and never had a problem. I did notice today that if I have my TM set at 1 or lower I have no issues, I can also run at 10 with no issues. Anything else is distorted. As far as my transducer goes, I have it as far back as it can go without touching the skeg on the TM, this to has been the setup I've been using for years.![]()

Have your battery load tested. It could be on the verge of dying.
