    Default 997 Y cable

Do they make a y cable for the transducer? I wanna use the transducer in the back but be able to move the unit up front and just plug in to the other lead Or I was thinking an extention cable then I could disconnect the unit and plug the front cable into the back one. Any opinions?
I was planning on using a HI-TECH track and post then just loosen the thumb screw and slide it in the front base? Should take less than a minute.

    THANKS WILBUR

I believe you would have to use an A/B switch or just an extension cable like you mentioned. Just the cable would be a lot cheaper.

I don't know if this has any bearing with what you are wanting to do, but I saw this on another forum and you might want to check into it.

Got this from HB a while back.

"If you want to use both transducers for the 788ci then a transducer switch is needed to toggle between the two transducers with one unit on its setup. The transducer switch is part number TS2 W cost $81.99 plus shipping for
US residents. Order for the transducer switch can be placed online at Humminbird :: Fishfinder :: Depth Finder :: GPS Chartplotters :: Side Imaging Sonar Technology :: Marine Fish Finders or contact Humminbird CRC at 1-800-633-1468."
