If I had a Maxxum for trolling, I would spend more time working the TM and less time fishing

Geez, I dunno what some of you guys are doing to get MK to send you a new remote, but I've tried twice and they refuse. I've been super nice and that doesn't seem to work. Do you have to get nasty with these folks or what?

I offered to send them the remote back first, but the second guy...his name was Mike (I don't remember the lady's name I talked to earlier in the week, but she couldn't have been more unhelpful if she'd tried)...Mike said MK is reluctant to just send out parts until they know what the problem is. They also wasn't too keen on the idea of replacing my transducer, so now I'm stuck having to buy another transducer for my 798.

I explained to their CS dept that my Terrova had went haywire and started twisting itself around and around, snapping my transducer cord to my Hbird 798 in the process. I explained that just prior to that, the remote appeared to freeze up.

I also told them that I took it out afterwards without the remote and just used the foot control and that everything worked just fine.

They want me to take the whole mess to an ASC. So, I have to make an appointment to take my boat over to someone and have them look at it.

If they want me to take the motor off the boat...we'll have issues!

Well i am going to have to give them two thumbs up on this one!!! Talked them into rounding me up a remote that was going to be on backorder and got them to overnight it to me!!! I told them that I was about to have a nervous breakdown being it was prime fishing time in Ga and I didnt have a trolling motor that worked.

    Hi guys.
Have not been on the lake in a while, just to hot for me, Cool weather almost here. Dropped by to read about the I Pilot, I went to Bass Pro today and bought one for the crappie office. Last winter I told my fishing buddy if I could only make my GPS control my motor it would be the best....BINGO...THE I PILOT. Can't wait to try it. May have to brave the heat this weekend. Thanks for all the comments,I will get extra batteries for sure.
