Thread: New HB 898c

Installed mine earlier in the week and got it out first time yesterday.

It was nice! I found out how far back in the stoneage I had been with my older electronics.

SI is the cat's meow, but I was equally impressed with DI. I happened over 3 schools of fish during my little one hour test drive, unfortunately, I purposely left the rods at home.

With the sun in my face, amber1 seemed to give me a better view. I could see the blue good when in the shadows but preferred amber1 when out in the sun.

I thought there was going to be a steep learning curve with this, but was pleased at how quickly I was able to make adjustments to get a better picture.

Even the wife was impressed. When I froze the DI and showed her the first school of fish, she said that "We would have never fished here" and I replied "And this is probably some fish that we've been missing out on".
