I took out the new trolling motor and Ipilot spider rigging yesterday. 0-5mph winds, was in a lake with no current.

I am struggling getting the cruise control function to work properly. Had it set in conjunction with the auto-pilot on .2 - .6mph and was constantly getting it to run up to 1.2mph while the cruise was on. I have used it quite a bit already, however it was in the river with a lot of current and just attribuited the cruise control mph fluctuation to a combination of current and wind, however there was absolutely no wind and I was in a man made lake with no current on sat. and still even with the cruise set on .2, the trolling motor would occasionally run the mph to 1.2.

I still like the thing, however think that it should be able to do a better job of keeping a constant mph.
