    Default Terrova question

When I deploy the trolling motor, I have to spend the head around to make it fall all the way down and into that little groove that is on the bottom of the shaft. Is this right? Do I need to lubricate the shaft to help it deploy easier? Any help would be appreciated.

Before I pull my trolling motor up I line it up with the boat. I have to turn it 1/4 turn counter clockwise to lay it down. When I deploy it, as I'm going down with it I turn it 1/4 turn clockwise and it always falls into place. Just something I always do and might help. My unit is a powerdrive but I believe it is made the same way.
