interlink and waypoints
New interlink, still need to get a y cable to finish the hook up.
Question,,,Do I need both birds on for one to see the waypoint I mark with the 997 at the dash. Have a 797 up front.
When I'm scanning with the 997 and see something I want to mark,,will it show up on the 797 after I turn it on or do I need it on at the same time I'm scanning with the 997

The interlink will store the waypoints when you mark it, then whenever you turn either unit on it will ask if you want to merge data on both units then just hit yes, be aware if you store alot of waypoints before you transfer them it might take a little while to merge the data, so dont get impatient :rolleyes:

would it be a problem to leave the front D/F on while the T/M is not deployed so the gps is working even though the D/F sonar is not reading and you could avoid delays when ready to fish?
