    Default New years jig

Kicked off the new year with a BANG. This is a double firecracker body meaning heavy blue and red glitter.

Really, really nice. I am taking stock out in Glitter dot com. LOL Looks like that glitter is not curling or bleeding out. What is your trick if I may ask? Of course I have trouble with glitter. Really bleeding out on remelts and curling up. I can't imagine how much glitter all that is in the pics. I really like your work and thanks for sharing you art!

People be sure you are using glitter approved for lure making. Get it where you buy your soft plastic supplies and not at places like Walmart or hobby stores.

    Thanks guys.

Buddy i really dont have issues with curling in crappie baits. You really start noticing it when you get into the larger glitter. It shows up worse with square cut which is why you see hex cut for sale at bait suppliers. I do like the look of square cut though and have a couple colors in it.
The best thing for glitter is to add it to the plastic just before you inject the molds. On colors with heavy glitter like these i use it all up without doing a remelt. I cooked up 2 cups of it and lined up enough molds to use it up. So the only remelts will come from runners and sprues. Those will be cut up and mixed with raw plastic and heated in 20 second increments once it starts getting hot. Reheats are what start making the flake to bleed. Addition of raw plastic and stabilizer helps combat it. You got my number call me when u want some pointers.
