I get my fix here off the food trucks we have. The Chicanos here flat out know how to cook it right. One I go to makes the best Chile Rellenos, another the best Tres Leches for dessert.
I remember way back when sometimes , the family would hit one sometimes as a treat in the big town , they used to have a chile con queso thing , not sure if they still do , it was one of them puffed up like a baseball shells with a hole poked in the top and filled with what at the time seemed like real queso , still remember them things ,,,,,
