Don't I know. We would drive up to their fields one a year to pick them. Pick them in the fields yourself for 25 cents a large brown grocery bag full. Remember brown grocery bags? Roast, peel, and put them away for the year.
They also had fields of Jalapeno peppers. Same price of 25 cents a bag to pick yourself. Interesting was that they had different fields labeled mild, medium, and hot. The heat intensity dependent upon how much irrigation water the field received.
