I pour my hushpuppy batter into a jerky gun (with the attatchment used to make the slim jim type) and squeeze the batter into the grease. It changes the texture of the hushpuppy, they cook more evenly....try it
I can only wish to be as good as my dog thinks I am

Your lucky I am Right handed.:D Also I do wash my hands one time per month.:D
What gets me is when some people eat my Hush puppys. And then ask for the recipe. I tell them Whiskey or beer. And that turns them off. Man it cooks out out of them. But does give them a good taste. Wild turkey works great.

Nothing measured, just experience. Yellow corn meal, an egg, chopped bale peppers, chopped onions, 1/2 can whole kernal corn (drained), plenty of shredded sharp cheddar cheese, milk, little salt(fish is already fairly salty), black pepper. If you want them to have a little kick then add chopped jalopenos in place of the bale peppers. Gooder'n S%#t!!:D
