I posted somthing about this spot about a month back. The folks on here said the crappie bite was not good there.
I would love to try it. Let me know how you do.

if i go i am going to put in about 15 miles south of sheridan at farindale. it is on my deer lease. i have caught a mess of crappie out of there before but it seems like the green carp bite is better.
went to the river this morning and tried to catch a few crappie but couldn't get them to bite so i picked up the bass pole. i did pretty good probably caught 25 or so and brought home eight but the bass were fairly small. will try to post pictures if the camera works.
Nice catch rieve, I know it was fun catching those. I really like floating the Saline, it's so peaceful and beautiful.
A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

Hey rieve. You can't launch a boat at hwy 167 right now with all the construction can you? I know there are some gated roads down that way. I think they call it Big Island? Also, a good friend of mine floated from Prattsville down to Jenkins Ferry and caught 85 green carp. He said alot of em was small, but man that sounds like fun!!!
the 167 ramp is still closed but i am in the lease right before you get to the farindale store on the right and there is a place to put in down there if you got a 4x4. so yes i put in behind a locked gate. sure be glad when that construction is over and that ramp gets open because it is a pain to put in down there. it looks like they are almost done with the construction though. it was a lot of fun and that river is full of them green carp. caught them using plastic worms and a few on buzzbaits.
is ur lease on the south side of the river
