    Default Spider Rigging

Well, I have bought me some Bee Ready rod holders. I got the 2 of the 3 rod holders like the ones pictured. Now I am going to have to get some help from CEB on how to do it.

I use the same set up as chris, & I'll tell you how I do mine. I use 10-12 foot poles with 10-12 lb line. I use a 1/2 oz egg sinker just above a swivel (like a carolina rig, but no beads) then I run a 12-18" leader off the other end of the swivel, and I use circle hooks (usually #1 or #2). I am not sure that Chris uses circles though. When spider rigging, the fish hook themselves, so you don't set the hook. I feel like the fish stay on better with those circle hooks. Anyway, that is the set up that I use, and I use the depth finder to see the level that the fish are, & adjust the depth accordingly.
One important thing that Chris taught me is to attempt to fish into the wind, bumping the troll. motor along moving at a pretty slow pace. if you are going over brush piles, it's important to be able to hover, and sit that bait right in front of their nose. hopefully, this will help.

Here is the web site. I paid $69 for each of the rod holders. Bought 2 of the 3 rod stands, so $69 x 2 plus shipping of $8.

Do the Bee Ready rod holders hold the rod as well as the traditional style such as driftmasters? I like the looks of them cause they seem more compact.

Well Kent, looks like you are almost there. Now we just need some water that we can catch some fish in around here...
