I would send a private message to LA Bill on the Louisiana board. He used to live up here and that was his favorite lake. I assure you he can point you in the right direction.

On a side note my great grandfather was the man who plotted out, designed and oversaw construction Blue Mt Lake when it was built. I even have some old pics of it when they were building the dam.

Keep us posted on your success.

I hear the plan is to drain the lake this year to do some work on the dam.

spoke to a g@f biologist today in ozark and he did not know exact date but he said it was to get the junk fish out such as shad that was too big plus to let the bottom of the lake to get sunlight to help the vegetation to grow better

Don't look at the drawdown as a bad thing. I've been on a drawdown on Nimrod and the fishing was absolutely fantastic! Don't do like I did though and spend all your time fishing. Get out when it's dry enough and walk the lake bed with your GPS and find good places to fish when the lake comes back up.
Also, build those brushpiles and stake beds so you can actually see where they are located. Sure some people will see them too but think of all the ones that you are going to find.
Be sure to post some pics of the drawdown.

Slabbandit you need to get with us to build at home (Nimrod Lake). I have a bunch of brush and access to a load of pallets.
