This seems to be a growing club. I too strayed while being angry at God for close to 20 years for the illness and final passing of my first wife. One day about 7 years ago, I concluded that if I was mad at God, I still beleaved in him. This was a turning point in my life. I still have so many unaswered questions as to why my wife had to suffer and die; but, I have found much peace and many belessings since I have been seeking God's will. I have learned that man will judge us by how we react to our problems, but our reward after salvation will grow when we learn how to use our problems for His glory.
By the way...after 13 years I still want to smoke. I don't know if it ever goes away. Not drinking was easy, it started hurting too bad.

Far out MM. Now, I really want to meet you. I was hoping to be able to tell you about just exactly what you said while we were fishing tomorrow. Now, you have gone and done it for me. See you tonight. And, them Beaver Lake Crappie better look out.

Hang in there MM. I quit smoking and dipping the week before those cowards flew the planes into the towers. May God bless you and keep you strong.

Thanks Creekslick! Isn't it funny how much you are tried and tested (by Satan) whenever you try and better yourself? He's the REAL coward! Glad to hear you quit, it's been not very long for me, and I already feel more healthy!

Great news MM. I don't get a chance to post here a lot, but I do check in now and then. All of us can be hard-headed at times, but when God steps in and we realize that He's in control, we wonder why we didn't listen sooner! You will find that there are still plenty of fishing and hunting trips that can be made with Christian friends. May God bless you richly in your new commitment.

Don't know you sir and am new to this site.

All I can say after asking Jesus Christ into my life it all fell into place.

For what it's worth I am 59 yrs old, retired LAPD cop and have seen it all.

Jesus is not just the way, he is the only way.

    God Bless

Minnowman, I just read your post this morning and let me tell you that it has made my day! Hearing about someone accepting Christ is the best news I could have heard this morning. :D I am truly happy for you! :D
