    Default Morgan Point today 4/1 (Pics)


    Kathy and I went to Morgan Point today. We got to fishing about 8:30am, and my first cast I caught a 1 1/2 lber. Thought it would be a great day, we did alright, keeping 15 good crappie. The size wasn't what it has been, the big females must have went shallow to lay some eggs. The females we caught today didn't have the bulging bellies like last week, and their egg sacks were small, must have laid some eggs. Also caught 3 male in the deep, something I have'nt been doing. Going to try them again tomorrow, will post a report.

    Looks like y'all had a good day. It's tough to catch one immediately then wait awhile for the next. Glad to see some males moving back out.

    They were caught in the Busch's in the water, then placed in the Busch's in the frozen cubed water....!!!

    i was over there yesterday also. we ended up keeping 12. i caught 4 in the first 15 minutes and then it slowed down. the females have dropped some eggs i think because their bellies were smaller. i think i may have seen you. do you have a green war eagle boat with a johnson motor???

    Yeah HawgPharm that was probably me. I went today and didn't do very good, I thought since I caught 15 the day after the front, that I would really do good today. I guess that's why they call it fishing instead of catching. Only had 4 keepers today and 1 catfish. But it was so foggy I couldn't get around until after 10 o'clock. Wish you would have hollered at me Sunday, I'd like to meet you. I think I'm going to Chicot tomorrow since I didn't do too good at M. P. today. Do you have any reports from Chicot.
