    Hey everyone,

Was looking around on the net this morning before work and came across the site. I am orgianlly from St. Charles/Indian Bay. Right on the white river. My father was a commercial fisherman all his life so I have been on the water all my life...I have recently moved to Little Rock to take a new job. I am Deputy Coroner for Pulaski County. So I dont know of any good fishing in this area being I have never fished it. Can someone help me out and do any of you all get together and go out for a fish trip together..Would not mind doing something like that. I do have a boat on the Arkansas River between Scott and England that is my father in laws. Can use it when I want. Look forward to meeting some of you all..

Hey Troy, welcome to Crappie.com. There is a lot of good info to be had here. We are going to have a get together this spring at Lake Greeson. The annual spring crappie camp. It is a good time and you get to meet a lot of folks. Look forward to your fishing reports and pictures.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

I am operations manager at the Port of LR just above where your boat is on the river. check out the sticky poll in this forum. Looks like Gooch is getting a stalk together in a couple of weeks.

Welcome to the board Troy. Glad to get us a certified river rat on board with us.

You need to come out and join us for the nightstalk on the 17th of Feb. Will give you a chance to meet some of the crappie.com guys and learn a few holes on the Little Maumelle.

You also need to attend Crappie camp on Lake Greeson in April. Not only is it a blast but the fishing is good and the food is great.

Take care and again welcome aboard.

Welcome, Whiteriverguy. Being from the St. Charles area, you were raised well on the crappie fishin'. That is a beautiful area of the refuge down there. As for crappie fishin' in Central AR, there's plenty of it to be had. You can be on numerous crappie holes within an hour of LR. Keep up with the reports on here, and you'll find some crappie. Again, welcome and post away...

Welcome to back to God's country Troy. I personally missed the crappie camp in the fall, but have every intention on making the spring camp down at Greeson. (Bringing my whole family.) Gonna try the Nightstalk as well pending availability from da wife.

Default Thanks for the warm welcome

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I would love to meet up with you guys and start fishing again. I really have not had the time to fish much in the past couple years. I was a EMT/Fireman for a while and that takes a lot of you time and now taking this new job as a coroner to have more time off I have become more busy..but you can always make time to fish right?

Does anyone know of a bait that I used to use called a crappie critter...it is a like a willow leaf spinner that is floresecent..yellow, pink..etc. Those were the best things ever invented but I can not longer find them..someone told me the makers were alcoholics and had went out of business..only lure I ever see that would catch everything in the water..used to have so much fun with those..caught several 1lb brim a few times...catfish, bass, drum or whatever in the water couldnt resist the critter...

    Everyone have a good day..

    Troy
