    Default Conway Crappie (pics)

Went fishing at Conway on Sunday morning with my bro-in-law and nephew. Got the poles out at about 9:30am. Crappie were slow, but steady. Came out with 10 crappie and a yellow bass at around 12:30. Big fish on Sunday weighed 1.5 lb.

I was supposed to meet Bobberwatcher back out at Conway Monday afternoon. Got out poles in the water around 2pm. Once again, crappie were slow, but steady. Kind of like the rain on Monday, slow but steady...:D Bobberwatcher got tied up at work and couldn't make it, so at a little before 5pm, I started fishing back towards the launch. Got in the mouth of the cove, and couldn't beat the crappie off with a stick. It was getting pretty dark, and I couldn't even get the poles back in the boat to head back to the launch. Finished out with a limit and threw a lot back. Big fish weighed just shy of 2lb. Probably caught a dozen fish that last 20 minutes before dark.

Bro-in-law and his son displaying a couple of the bigger ones from Sunday afternoon...

I didn't take the camera on Monday because of the rain, but here's the total catch from Sunday and Monday...

Sure was cold cleaning them crappie...

Nice fish Chris! You need to get you a cleaning station like Fishin Magician has, that way you can stay out of the cold and rain. I got the rain covered but until I close the back porch in, I still have to deal with the cold.
Again nice mess of fish and thanks for the pictures.

CEB, that pile of cleaned fish is making me hungry. If you ever need a 2nd, holler at me. Outside of a court date, my schedule can be very flexible. Hope everyone bought the right Valentine's present so their kitchen passes will not be revoked.

All right now!!!! You have caught all of them fish out of my hole; I ain't caught the first one out of yours. What is up with that? (lol) I wished it was "my" hole. I would get rich at just $.50 per fish.

Allright, that's what I want to do...Get everyone pumped up and GET out there!

Hey SH, I'm takin' all the time I've got because pretty soon time is going to be the limiting factor...

Hey Shadow, that would be too nice...It's just no fun cleaning fish if its not in the 30s with some rain...

And Helmslaw, anytime...Bobberwatcher was supposed to met me out there on Monday afternoon. He's kickin' himself in the head right now...
