Kinda puts the crappie on the move, LOL. That's okay, there's more water now for more crappie. It's a little after 3:00 a.m. and it's still raining. The rain woke me up. It's getting colder outside too. Can you say, "Crappiesicle."
I just checked the flow data from Ouachita, Hamilton and Catherine (all on Ouachita River). Normal river flow through all the dams is 200 cfs and normal electric generation flow is 3,800 cfs, but as of 3:10 a.m.:
1,021 cfs through Blakley Dam (out of Ouachita into Hamilton);
24,624 cfs through Carpenter Dam (out of Hamilton into Catherine)
14,585 cfs through Remmel Dam (out of Catherine into Ouachita River)
Looks like the area around Lake Catherine is getting flooded. No doubt, Lake Catherine State Park's campground is under water. Might have to go check that out if they haven't already got it blocked off and closed.
