    Great fish man, i caught a 2lb14oz white crappie a couple of years ago. I should have got her mounted. Those white crappie make some beautiful mounts. Im waiting on another one to come soon.

    Thanks for the replies. It's nice to have a great community with which to share my experience. I'll be back for more after Christmas, because there are a bunch of big fish in that lake.

    And yes Gooch, it's gonna hang right next to that picture of you in the LSU thong.:D

    Ceb, How about doing us all a favor by putting it directly over Gooch's pic (covering it up) We really don't need to see him in a LSU thong.

    Well, I ended up over at CC this morning. I got there around 8 and didn't catch a fish till 9:30ish. Caught them all on Rosey Reds about 5'. Caught 10, but chunked one back. All the others were really good fish. Had a set of shoulders on each of them and sure they will fry up rather nicely. Several boats out there when I left around 3 and one guy had one a little over 3 lbs it looked.. HUGE. I think I was the only one throwing shiners...and the only one that had a mess of fish to speak of. :D

    Nice mess of crappie there bobberwatcher. Were they over close to the edge of the tree line, that's where they were last weekend. I hope to be there this weekend. I think there is a state record in there somewhere. I'm looking for a 3 lb to put on the wall.
