by myself or with someone--back into the water, start motor, then unhook. Takes less time then it does to get a dumped boat off the ramp or retrieve a boat that wont start.
I KNOW what my problem is. It's listening to my "efficient" fishing partner (no, he doesn't come on this board). He wants to back in while I sit in boat. It's more 'efficient' that way. That works at Nimrod where ramp is short and shallow. But a steep ramp? No way. He told me for years "I know you think that will come off, but it won't". And of course, it did. From then on, I told him "You can either do it my way or make the boat payments".
