That is a big problem in general. It always seems we need to make new laws instead of enforcing what we already have. It is the answer from all the gubmint and politicians. DP

I had some yoyo's hanging in peckerwood 20 or so years ago when a storm blew up on us at night. we had to haul butt back to the ramp. the next morning we had about 30 crappie heads hanging that way. I felt so bad about it I would have taken a beating if someone had offered, but there was nothing I could have done about it.

If it will raise some maggots, leave it there. It will make a good bream hole.

I have pulled old old lines, but I worry that a warden watching from the brush or checking my boat, might think the yo-yo or lines are mine.
I would hate to get a ticket for having un-label, un-attended equipment in my boat that was not mine
cut em and drop em to the bottom and they will not be in your boat to worry about!!!

If I break the law give me a ticket and I'll try to do better next time. But when I go to conway day after day and you see the same yo-yo/line with the same fish hanging on them someone not doing there part. I never see a fish with a cell phone making a call to warden. I have called and talk to the lovely lady and come back the next day and the same fish still there. Someone did not do there job. I did all I can do other then cutting them down witch is unlawful for me to do right.

Russ how often do you see a officer on the water in conway? I have never seen one, I only seen one in 4 years at a boat ramp. Maybe I'm at the lucky ramp
    cut em!

Who's name was on the YO-YO?

Oh, they all have the same users name on them from the factory-- Yo-Yo's.

Forgive my possible ignorance here but I just do not understand. I have never and never will use yo yo's and or trout lines. I just do not get it. Where is the fun in that? No hunt, no thump and in my opinion no fishing. It kind of reminds me of the ocean. When fishermen use unconventional type of techniques they are usually commercial fishermen and require a special licence to even get fish this way and they are under a whole different set of rules as far as how much can be hauled in and when. I do not think they should be used in man made lakes or reservoirs at all. Maybe large natural lakes and rivers where there is just much more water to cover. Somehow there should be better control by the fines being extremely painful to the pocket book to make people think twice. If you equip your boat properly you can night fish without using yo yo's. For anyone that does use them help me understand why and where the enjoyment is. Sorry guys, I just don't get it. I seen a post in Panama City FL where a vessel used commercial techniques to haul in snapper out of season, When they got caught the where fined for every fish and it was covered in the news. I can insure you the captain of that vessel would have to be one rich man to not think twice about doing that again. Help me understand!
