Got a big suprise when I loaded my boat this afternoon after fishing the Little Maumelle. As many years as Ive loaded and unloaded boats Ive never seen a snake get in my motor before but it happened today. That place is loaded with cottonmouths seen several the past couple weeks!Needless to say it was a shock to be staring a cotton mouth in the eyes from a foot away after strapping the boat down.Just giving everybody a heads up,Thanks to the man upstairs Im not in the hospital tonight!

You keep the snake, I'll take the fish. Thanks for the post.

Someone would have found me layed out somewhere in the parking lot if I got that close to it. Not scared of much but them things scare me to death. Nice mess of fish.
Yea I would have trimmed that motor down on him and hoped to kill it. Only good snake is a dead one

Thats the crazy thing is I dont have a trim on my boat I lift it up to put the transom saver on it.I was down on my knees pulling the motor up to put it on the saver and actually smelled it first.Very scary situation to say the least!
