Default Winter fishing hard on my hands.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a problem with the winter wreaking havoc on my hands, fishing or not. They get red and raw and my thumbs actually split open. I found something a couple of years ago that works wonders at preventing this problem and even healing my hands when I forget to use it. Its called "Gloves in a Bottle". I have to use it a couple of times a day for best results, but it's a life saver. I've found it at Kroger Pharmacies, the hospital gift shop, and online. Hope this helps those with this same problem.

Just rubbing plain old petroeum jelly (vasoline) into hands and wipe off excess with an old rag. Your hands will shed water like a duck's back. Years ago while trapping in water we used this trick , could not set traps in gloves.
