What a thread. I am glad I don't read this this stuff on the weekend. Just wanted to put in my .02
1. You wont meet a better group of people than on this site. I have met and made life long friends that would do anything for you in their power. My dad said when you die and have 6 to carry you you did good in life. I feel very lucky.
2.Its a thin line between lurker and poster. When I joined I jumped in with all. Pics, Posts and reports. I have posted about putting crappie condos out to putting an frozen water in your minnow bucket in the summer to keep them alive. It dont have to be about limits and hotspots. To all of you that are getting your feeling hurt, this might not be the site for you. Your decision.
3. USE YOUR PM and SHUT YOUR MOUTH. I have never PM'd anyone that has not PM'd me back. If you get info from a .com'r through a PM, that info is secret. Do not repeat it. You will know when the cat is out of the bag but you better not be the one unties the string.I have PM'd people from MS,MO,TN,AR,LA,and TX. Most will help. And if they dont answer you dont get your feelings hurt.
4. Use the site search for info. There is a wealth of knowledge on this site. USE IT
5. Nothing beats time on the water. If you dont get to fish as much as others, use your time wisely. HIRE A GUIDE. The money spent on a guide is priceless. In addition to what you are fishing for that day they will teach you techniques used for the whole year. You will never find a guide that can keep his mouth shut.
6. And last RELAX. Fishing is about having fun with friends and family. If your fishing to survive you could eat ribeye steaks with the money you spend on fishing. Dont get your feeling hurt or turn your nose up. You never know who the next person is that might need help on the water.
Thanks again to all the friends I have made on Crappie.com. I know there is always a empty seat and a cooler of white meat
