Default Right or wrong? I don't know

I understand completely how some of you guys get agrivated when you find a hot fishing hole, try to share info on here and the next day you have to wait an hour at the boat ramp to launch your boat. I want to let you in on some of the other side of this delima. I have been one of the lurkers that have been refered to(not so fondly). I think I speak for most of the lurkers on this site when I explain my situation. I spend every spare minute of my time crappie fishing. Here lies the problem. sometimes that is one day out of two months. I have cought a limit of crappie only a handfull of times in my life. When I do get a day off I want to take advantage of every bit of information I can get. With that being said I do feel a little guilty about taking advantage of all your fruitless hours on the water. I have paid creek for a few guided trips and gained a wealth of knowlege from him. I also send freinds and family on trips with him sometimes for birthday and or christmas gifts. I buy jigs from him, and consider him a freind. I'm just saying by being a lurker on this board I'm not trying to make anybody mad, just trying not to waist any of the few days I get to fish learning what I could learn before I leave home.

Very well said I've come close to leaving this site cause of the lake x stuff , I joined here to read and learn I never thought every one on here wanted to be that secret about it , I've not posted in awhile and have been looking at other crappie sites , I just hope this gets back to the way it was when I joined , I've done better crappie fishing that last couple of years than I have ever done I my life , so don't be all secret government like on here and share your story's you don't have to give gps locations just the normal info , I'll shut up now and go back to reading lol , have a great day and someone on here win the loto tonight

I'm sure it's all in fun, but it appears sometimes that some folks do consider public waters their private domain. Don't worry about it.

Ok, well to all of the people that are offended by us not posting directions to our honey-holes, I have a suggestion: Once you spend many fruitless hours on unfamiliar waters searching for fish that seem to be non-existent, and the day finally comes that you luck into a spot that is loaded with hungry fish, be sure to give a detailed report on here about what lake you caught them on and how to get to the spot. Remember, merely stating how you caught them, what depth, what bait, what color, and what type of structure, isn't near enough info for the guys that never post ANYTHING whatsoever, except to complain about how terrible the Arkansas board has gotten. That way, the next time you hit your newfound honey hole, it will be loaded with so many people that you can't even squeeze your boat in. I have experienced this. So has Russ, Midsouth Man, ABH, Crappie Greg, and a lot of other guys that hardly ever post anymore because of this very thing.

Correction. No one is asking for directions to your or anyone else's honey holes. Just real lake names. Shouldn't be too difficult.

If you were on some of the lakes I fished after last years posts you'd understand. Loose lips sink ships still applies.

Interesting popper you say that you have almost left the site and caught more fish in the last few years. If that is the case why not join the rest of us guys that do post on our success? You can label your lake anything you want to too.

Seems like everyone thinks there is a secret group when in reality the only one's posting frequently are the ones that fish together or on the same bodies of water.

Remember no one is forcing you to open the browser and look here and read our posts.

just to let you know I have posted on here where I fish and what ive caught , telling some one what lake I fish and how many I catch does not bother me , ive killed more deer than most and gave my stand site up more times than I can count so some guy that's never killed a nice buck could have a chance ,same with fishing ive always bass fish and can out fish most but never could catch many crappie till I came to this site , but not one time did I ever keep my fishing a secret , I learned you could be in the same boat with me and I will catch a bass while you never get a bite, so just saying what lake what lure and how deep does not mean you will catch a fish , ive learned enough in the short time I have been on this site that I don't need you to tell me how or what to fish with but reading about how the fish are biting on Conway or nimrod is interesting or the river for guys to be upset cause a boat is at some certain spot on public water is silly , ive been at the ramp and showed people what bass lure and how to work it but that still don't mean they will catch fish , just like hunting ill put you in my stand to give you that chance to kill a deer but that don't mean you will , ok im done ranting maybe some will see my point if, not no big deal , I just see there are others out here that look at this the same as I do ,
