When I joined this sight, we literally went all Summer long without an Arkansas report or post. I don't think we really had 20 members you could call active; Nimrod was a member before me. Then we had guys like Crappie Pro, CreekSlick, ETC join a year or two later. All of these guys could catch fish and were imidiately challanged by new comers. The Arkansas forum is what it is today when guys that could catch fish started telling us how they do it. I don't get it. I might get to fish 4 or 5 times a year and never expect a limit. But, I am a better fisherman for getting to know these guys.
I will tell you what is insulting. Run across one of these guys out there and they try to show you what they are doing and you still can't catch fish. I have enjoyed the stories about Lakes XY and Z trying to figure out where they are; knowing I will not have an oportunity to go for a while.
Get to know these guys. Earn your stripes. Help build structure. Come to Crappie Camp.

Like DP said we didn't have to many members when I join but I still liked to post pic. and reports. Back then and you might get 20 views all week now you get that in about 30 sec. I like the idea of the codes for lakes. I will try this on the Il. board and see want the response will be. Hey.. I think we can get more members to join with this logic. Can a non member pm someone? Or do they have to join first. I should know this but not for sure.
If you want to learn to crappie fish, go to a Crappie Camp.We are usually to busy in the spring for camp(going to try and slip off this spring) the best advice for us!! Contribute what you can, and it may not even be about catching crappie. It might be about anything on here who knows. I started crappie fishing 3 years ago basicly and have learned alot on everything, but i have also given myworth many times too. Just relax and enjoy the site. The biggest thing about posting on here I have made alot of friends in my area that I would have never met, and alot from MS and AR that I would never have without posting.
Not sure the purpose of any of these type threads, but do know this site is unique. Perhaps all fishing sites are like this, haven't frequented any, so I wouldn't know. However, I do know that any 'lurker' whose only posts on any waterfowl hunting site is for 'information only'...will be duly crucified. Is much different here. Personable, friendly, and helpful seems to rule on this site, and I like it. Haven't been here long nor contributed anything of value myself, but will make a point to when possible, very soon.
Would seem that anyone only here for info or to know where the bite is hot, would be best served by layin' low and reading a bit more. Nothing at all wrong with such, providing you're doin' your homework rather than just showing up for gps coordinates then whinin' when they're not provided in thread titles. Only been here a few months myself, but from what little I'd already read, knew instantly what lakes were being jokingly referred to by their x, y, and whatever code names. All in fun.
Thanks fellas, for a fun place to hang out!
Hmmmm. I must not be in the clique. No one has ever asked me for fishing advice or locations and everyone knows I'm full of it. What's up with that?![]()

Rcc that is because you never claim to catch fish on lake Poinsett which we all know isn't the true case. Maybe one day you will over come the fear of posting a limit from that lake. It's too far for me to drive to anyways lol.
