I have been around and seen lots of different double bait techniques. Some work some get tangled and some..... well just get hung. If I'm seeing large numbers of fish say like in rows of 3-4 I usually shoot for the lowest and middle so say from the bottom to the mid pack is 4' I place my baits 4' from each other I also look at there range/distance to judge how long of a leader to tie my to bait I like to grab the fish attention with the 1st bait and if they don't take it then make them jump at the 2nd and I REALY like to stay with the same colors yet different variations of the colors I have recently adapted to tying a e-z float from CRAPPIE MAGNET about 2" off the top bat while I'm trolling 1/8 heads this seems to aid greatly in keeping the top bait out from the line and I've noticed for fish going for both baits!! Just my thoughts!!
