Shane - I keep my weight on the bottom and tie 2 1/16 jigs 16-18 inches apart. I will use different colors unless I know the color they want. If I get hung I dont spend any time trying to get unhung. I break off and retie.

Most of the time I also have a weight on the bottom of my leader I use minner critters with a minnow I use two on my leader 16-18in. Apart. I keep several pre tied leaders in my boat if one get tangled or hung and broke I just unsnap it and snap on a new leader. Imake my rig with snap swivel on both end on the bottom one I can change size of my weight easy and I also use fas snap for my minner critters where I can change colors!!!

I keep it pretty simple when I double. I usually tie and over hand loop just big enough to fit my jig head back through once I've managed to double that line up and pass it through the small jig eye. I always try 2 different colors to see what they want better and rarely separate the 2 jigs by more than 3'. I usually keep the baits around 18-24" apart at the most. I only fish jigs tight lined like this since I worry minners would tangle up too bad and if I'm retrieving a jig it's only the one jig, although I've wondered if a guy could take the smaller bama rigs and tie on several jigs with a float slowly drug across the surface set to a designated depth and work. For example if you show the fish in 10 FOW on the graph in 20 FOW just set the float around 8-10' and troll or slow crank for them?

Shane I like to double minnow rig or use two 1/8th oz jigs in deep water with little bottom cover. I use the Capps and Coleman style rig with a 1/4-1/2 oz egg sinker inbetween the two baits. If I dont have the CC rig. I just run a hook or jig up the line and tie off with a over hand double or triple loop knot. Below that I use an egg sinker held inplace with a #3 garmin splitshot...below that I attach my second bait. I most always only use this when im fishing deeper than 15 feet with not much cover around... but in water im seeing allot of life on the DF. The baits are about 2-3 feet apart with the sinker in the middle but a little closer to the bottom bait. Hope this helps. I most always just run four poles dong this. i also like a good 10lb test line to strighten out my hooks when i do get hung.
