If I dont have the CC rig. I just run a hook or jig up the line and tie off with a over hand double or triple loop knot. Below that I use an egg sinker held inplace with a #3 garmin splitshot...below that I attach my second bait. I most always only use this when im fishing deeper than 15 feet with not much cover around... but in water im seeing allot of life on the DF. The baits are about 2-3 feet apart with the sinker in the middle but a little closer to the bottom bait. Hope this helps. I most always just run four poles dong this. i also like a good 10lb test line to strighten out my hooks when i do get hung.
    Good post!!!

I'm gonna try the C and C rigs this weekend. I'll tie my own like Meatgetter said, but put a small snap swivel in the middle of the baits instead of at the bottom so I can change weight size without changing rigs. I'm also gonna tie a fast snap to the drops so I can change Minner Critter colors, jigs, or plain hooks without changing the rig.

One thing that may help when using multiple sets is to take a pair of needlenose and actually straighten each hook and then bend it back.....if it breaks , u didnt want that hook anyway. Once straightned, the hook will 'rebend' for you in the case of a snag or hangup ....it works ! just bend it back and continue......
