I have tried lots of different lines and I like the Vanish Transition because of it's low memory, it's limp, knots hold very well, the fish can't see it and it's tough as nails. What more do you want in a fishin' line?? I fish Lake Monticello here occasionally and it is as clear as a swimming pool. If those LM specks suspect anything at all you may as well pack up and go to the house! Last summer my son (blue thunder) was fishing the same top as an out of towner using the same baits (he had spotted David at one of our honey holes); only difference was the other guy was using 12 lb line (prob an off brand) .....the score was 14 black slabs to Zeero when the OOTer finally got the reds and hauled butt back North hollerin' he wouldn't be back to LM without 6 lb line, LOL!!! I wasted a lot of money rigging up with braid several years ago because I was convinced it was better. Maybe on some lakes it works for some folks...but not for me. I spent more time cutting out wind knots than I spent fishing. Maybe I wasn't using it the right way or something cause I have some friends that like it and I know it is good stuff but anyhow now I just use what works for me.
