    Default what line do you use?


    What type of line and brand of line do you folks use on those clear water lakes in Arkansas? Am coming down after 4th to do alittle fishing on Beaver for some stripers and crappie and all my line is braid.. Fishing Truman you don't need flurocarbon because it's stained most of the time or down right muddy.. thanks for the help

    I fish Greers and I use 30/8 Power Pro Braid with no leader

    I fish Greers with 20lb braid/ 10lb flourocarbon leader for trolling and 10lb mono for everything else.

    i have tried 10# vanish and use power pro now so mono will work fine i guess.. i also read somewhere 1/16 jigs i use mostly 1/8 up here so i mmay have to get a few. also where can i buy bait around beaver? am staying at hide a way campgrounds, will be in a 175 black and silver alumacraft with a 150 opti on the back, feel free to stop and say hello if you see me the week of 7-10. thanks for the help

    I doubt you will need to lower your jig size.

    On greers I use 30/8 yellow China braid. For jigging I use 6lb yellow basspro mono.
