    Default First Limit of Year


    Got my first limit of the year this morning long lining jigs. Had 1/8 oz on one side and 1/4 oz on the other and got 10 from each side so both sizes worked the same.     Creek, what kind of water were you fishing? I tried long lining at Beaver today and caught white bass, small crappie, largemouth, everything but keeper crappie. I caught at least 20 crappie but only 2 were keepers. I was fishing smaller jigs though. I saw a lot of baitfish, and lots of fish arcs but don't know if they were crappie. We have a cold front coming tomorrow but I'm going anyway. Maybe I'll try bigger jigs.
