    Default Thawing out question?

I thawed out 15 whole crappie Sunday to fry that night. Things came up and I havn't been able to cook them til tonight. They have been in refrigerator soaking in water since Sunday night. Ya'll think they are still ok to fry? Thats 3 full days thawed out! Just curious what ya'll think?

If you kept them cold they should be fine if fresh when frozen. Fish need to be frozen ASAP, cause the time on ice does'nt start over after freeze'n. If they were kept out 3 days then frozen then thawed for 3 days that would be 6 days. I don't usually like fish to be unfrozen more than 3 or 4 days and then kept on ice.

I would have no problem eating them tonight. If the meat looks and smells good it's O.K. Salt is a good preservative, always cover them with water and a little salt and the will be good.

Those fish are fine, the only thing wrong with them is that they ain't fried yet, fry them up and enjoy. Make sure to have some fries and hushpuppies to go with them, slaws nice to, and onion, maybe some tarter sauce, now you got me hungry, may just fry some up tonight myself.
