You held the camera in a a portrait(verticle) position when you took them. After you download them to your computer and then view them, there shoud be some arrows in a curved shape at the bottom of the viewer. By clicking them you can rotate the pic 90 degrees a click .Then when you leave the pic to view another one, it will save it however you left it. I view mine with windows gallery viewer, but they should all be the same. Also, if you are using photobucket as your image host, you can view them there and at the top of the pic, there is a rotate button.
