Default Which NE AR Lake for WED?

would you guys recommend? We decided to fish Lake Conway Thurs. and Fri. next week. So, I just need some direction for our Wed. trip? We are looking to stay closer to Jonesboro on Wed. so we are considering the lakes below:

    Houge
    Poinsett
    Ashbaugh
    Charles

Of the 4 above, what would you recommend and what suggestions for how to fish can you give?

I would go to either lake houge or poinsett.. At houge we used to always just drift fish with jigs and drop a jig around every log you come across... If you go to gouge also take crickets bc we used to wear the shellcrackers out if the crappie weren't biting.. At Poinsett i would troll jigs and minnows anywhere in the lake at 10 or 12 foot.. Hope this helps

I can help you narrow it down. We were at Charles all weekend, and it sucked. Two little dink crappie, so we started fishing crickets and caught a boat load of little 4-6 in bream. So I would try either Houge or Poinsett, personally, I would try Houge first. Usually some good bream in there this time of year.

    It's hogue!!!!
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

I agree with lake hogue or poinsett, but im gonna wait on my river to get right up here before going either of those places no matter how long i have to wait. I dont have that great of electronics but i know some guys that fish poinsett that spider rig it and do ok. The also know how to use there side imaging fish finder like most of us do a tv remote.

Fished Poinsett from 6:30-9 and kept 3 that weren't anything to be proud of, but will taste good.

Since we were not far and really wanted to know, we drove over to Monterey out of Marked Tree. It was high and stained, but not so muddy you couldn't catch fish. We put in and fished for a couple more hours until we got too hot and called it a day. We put one more in the live well at Monterey; most of everything we caught there was really small. There was a little bit of current in there today too. It will be down in a couple weeks I guess.
