I've been trying to figure out what year model the boat is. The number on the back is 55640581- 81. The 81 is spaced out like that so I was thinking it was an '81 model, at least thats what the outboard is. Is there anywhere on the web I could enter this number and find out more info on the boat?

I just saw your boat, and think you got a steal. That '84 35hp was worth the price of the rig; everyone knows 80s OMC's are great outboards.
I like how your deck and seat bases, and floor are all aluminum, and that the floor is nice and flat. Also, the 17" transom will keep waves from coming over the back as bad when backing up. Looks to be a nice fishing rig. Trailers are easy to fix, so no biggie on that.
You did good! Congrats!

Thanks again guys for all the comments. I worked nearly 10 hours on the trailer saturday. My dad and I completely stripped the trailer down, removed all the old bunks and hardware, welded up some new bunk posts, replaced the bunks with new boards, added new carpet, painted the trailer, and installed some new taillights. Next weekend we plan to install new bearings and seals, run new wiring for the lights, install new wheels, replace the hitch, install the jack, add some running lights, and mount the bunks. I'm getting the rims sandblasted this week so I can paint them white before I head back for the weekend. I also just bought a pinstriping tool so when it gets in I'll do some white pinstriping to the trailer and then add some black lines to the rims. Anyways, here's the pics from the weekend. I'll post more when I get the rest finished up.
You're probably wondering "What in the world?" Well, this is how you bend a trailer tounge back in place, lol. It was bent over 8 inches.
Hard to see but this was while I was painting the trailer
And it's painted, lol. Sorry for all the pics.

deep fried, You got her looking good. Won't be long now.
Great boat fro getting into my type of areas---the backwater-----I also have a flat bottom with a 25 hp Nissan---It is my catfish and trotline rig.
The new stick / steer I have is not a trotline boat---I am using it as a crappie rig.
