Boat looks really good! Trailer too! You did a great job. Be careful bending over when you're on that front seat in the water.

Deep Fried ........nice deal on the boat! Looks like fun.
I just started Crappie fishing in February. Really haven't spent alot of time fishing. I have been "creeping" here for 6 months or so. I have really enjoyed the site and all the super friendly folks and very helpful information. I haven't been all that successful, but I learn a little more everyday. I have fished the pool ( Broke Ice all the way In) , Peckerwood, Clear Lake, and Plub Bayou.
My 12 year old son and I pulled a 68-70 model 14" Waco out of a barn in November for $ 100.00 with no plan except we were going to have a winter time project and start fishing in the spring. I will have to say , I had more fun and enjoyment working on this boat through Dec and Jan than anything I have ever done.
Bought rough boat.........Stripped Painted
Built Front Deck, carpeted decke and removable floors. Two Hinged storage Compartments. Installed front Extension and Seat, Rod Holders and Short Rear extended seat post ( slide tracks) and Seat.
Bought Junk Trailer out of paper. Sanded, Painted, New Bunks, Built and Welded Side Guide Rails, New Jack, New Wiring and Light Kit, Built a Transom Saver and Painted.
Bought Cheap Trolling Motor Transom Mount ( Worked today on Mounting a different Trolling Motor on Front) and Bought Depth Finder.
Wired front to Rear, Swithed and fused , and lights.
Now for the best deal of all ........Someone gave this Electric Start Merc 25 with shifter on Handle. They had spent $900.oo trying to get it running. Over a year of trying to get repaired. One guys kept it several months and finally gave it back , he gave up. Anyway they were going to scrap it or something. Said I could have it if I got it running use it. Well after a couple of weekends and about 10 hours work, got lucky and landed on the problem. Runs Great.
Wanted to post some pictures......Good luck with your boat

My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!
Looks like a fun build crappnewbie. I've always enjoyed taking something old and making it new again.
A man is truly blessed, when he returns home from fishing to be greeted by the best catch of his life.
Just a small update until the weekend. I finally got my boat wheels sandblasted today. As soon as I got home, I hung them up, wiped them down, and shot some paint. Not my best paint job but certainly my cheapest, lol. I'll post more pics this weekend when I get the trailer finished up.
Sandblasted
Primed
And painted. I'll add pinstriping later when I get my tool in.

More updates. Put in a good, long day on the boat and trailer. Got the trailer wired, the front stop welded to the trailer, and new tires mounted. Also managed to get the boat stripped down to get it ready for paint and replaced the transom board. I brought it home to finish pulling the rest of the parts off the boat and get it pressure washed. Plan to get it in primer this week and paint it next weekend. Here's a few more pics.

well I saw DFF boat today its a very nice little boat!!
man youve done a good job now youve got a new boat
fishing from the couch in front of the tv doesnt count
Did a little more work today. I today to the parts store and bought paint. When I got back home I went to town on tearing everything out of the boat. Removed the console, livewell, front deck, flooring, and all the tie hooks. Also managed to get all the old wiring out since it was all chewed up by mice. After all that was out I pulled all the foam out of the bottom and set it out to dry. I even went as far as getting my shop vac out and vacuumed out all the dirst and loose foam pieces. I didn't get pics of it but right now the boat is upside down in my backyard on saw horses, ready for me to start sanding and priming. Hopefully I can get that done this week so I can get it painted this saturday.
