Worst thing about braid is that it will hang on any piece of bark you rub it on.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang and
a gun the goes bang when it is supposed to go click.

Some of us need someone to tell us how to fish and any advise is worth listen to.

yes know about the loop and how freely the jig has to move in the loop,I cast and have found by pulling the line tight I can ajust the jig to stand on its nose if need be.The loop is the best knot that I know of for the long pole in most cases.Tieing tight When casting into the current I can ajust how the jigs runs by ajusting the knot at the back of the eye, middle of the eye, front of the eye or anywhere inbetween.Loop knot is number one...

A feller needs to lay his pole down before he sneezes, lol, learn how to flick the rod tip and it will undo.

A little input from Louisiana. LOL. I use the Sufix performance braid in the 10lb test-4lb diameter. I also use the loop knot that I have used for years on mono and love it. The loop knot allows the jig to hang level, allows more life-like movement in the jig, and allows the jig to pivot on the hook set, which usually results in the fish being hooked real good in the top of the mouth. A fellow just really don't know what a THUMP feels like until he has used some braid. I don't know why I waited so long to try it. I wonder if it has anything to do with a hard head? LOL.

I've been thinking of trying some braid out for a while now but I typically cast alot. Can you still use braid or fireline on ultralites for casting without tearing up your eqipment (ie. spools and rod guides?) Any info. would be greatly appreciated

Glad to hear someone useing Sufix, haven't tried fireline yet,the other braids are going to haveta be pretty good to beat power pro.

99% of my fishing is casting, all my fishing is ultrlite,I think its easier on eqt. then mono.Your thinking old school, this new braid is like night and day from the old days.

Getting back to the **thump**its unreal you can still ((feel)) it for 3 or 4 daysPlus the sound it makes with big fish on is sweet:D.
